What is this document?

This Privacy Notice is aimed at explaining what personal data I collect, how I collect it, why I collect it, what I will do with it, how I store it and when I delete it.
It will be reviewed regularly. When I make changes to this Privacy Notice I will update the ‘last modified’ date at the bottom of this document.

What information do I collect?

I collect a variety of different types of personal data for the following reasons.

1. My e-Mailing List
The data collected for my e-mailing list includes your name and email address and is processed and stored through a third-party service, Mailchimp. Their privacy policy can be found here. I will NEVER share your name or email address with anyone else.
Sign-up for this list is done voluntarily by an individual; I will never add/update email addresses to this list without being first requested by the email account holder. I will use your email to send regular emails about my work at Heart and Craft, the offers available via my website, and seasonal and/or relevant news about the Heart and Craft community. You have the option of leaving this email list at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button or emailing me at and asking me to unsubscribe you.

2. Cookies
The website collects cookies as part of its functionality. If you do not consent to this please refer to your web browser’s cookie settings. The following website may be helpful; All About Cookies

My absolute favourite cookie is a vegan, double chocolate chip one, perhaps topped with chocolate sprinkles or toasted flaked nuts, mmmm, but I don't think that's got anything to do with this notice. Shame.

When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
