Equine beauties

Continuing with February's 'things I love' theme I now present to you...

Horses! Horses! Horses! Horses! Coming in in all directions, white shining, silver studs with their nose in flames - oops, sorry, - turned into Patti Smith there all of a sudden...

My first love was a skewbald pony named Hiawatha (Wofa for short). He threw me off more times than I can remember and I still bear the scars of a little incident with a barbed wire fence. I was the worst horse rider ever, I had no balance, no body strength or fitness, I just bounced around like a sack of potaoes. Nothing changes. Happy days.

AI occasionally gets these horses' legs in the the wrong order, and I've seen a few three and five legged specimens too. It's not so hot at putting bridles together either, there is sometimes more leather strappage than a Gucci factory, but having spent a goodly amount of my childhood trying to reassemble straps, buckles, bits and bobs (see what I did there?) I shall look away and remind myself that those who live in glass houses shouldn't criticise other's attempts to clean tack.

gratitude with attitude...

1. I'm absolutely loving the horses that AI is creating with me

2. Horses' velvety nostrils - and if you know what I mean you'll know what I mean

3. And as much as I love velvety nostrils I am grateful beyond measure that I do not have velvety nostrils myself
